Every shelter has animals who wait weeks or months for a home while others come and go.
Most aren't overlooked because of who they are. They're overlooked because nobody ever gets the chance to see who they are. A kennel photo and a basic description can only do so much. Through photography, video, storytelling, and social media, we help long-stay animals become visible. We show their personalities, tell their stories, and put them in front of the people looking for their next best friend. And time after time, animals who spent months waiting finally find their families.
Because visibility saves lives.
For over 160 days, Kobe has been waiting at Sandy City Animal Services. Day after day, this gentle 6-year-old German Shepherd mix has watched families walk past his kennel, hoping that maybe—just maybe—this time someone will see him.
Kobe is a soul dog. He’ll meet your gaze with the softest, sweetest eyes and lean in gently for pets, as if to say, “I’m yours, if you’ll have me.” He doesn’t ask for much—just someone to toss his ball, take him on easy walks, and share quiet snuggles when the day winds down. He’s good with other dogs and uninterested in cats.
We don’t know why he’s been overlooked for so long. But we do know this—when his person finally finds him, they’ll wonder how they ever lived without him.

The moment we’ve all been waiting for… RUE HAS BEEN ADOPTED!!
After 200 long days in the shelter, Rue’s people finally walked through our doors—and it was truly love at first sight.
He’s been so patient, waiting day after day for someone to choose him. And now, Rue gets to leave the shelter behind and go home with a family who sees him for exactly who he is and all the love and potential he has.
We are beyond grateful to his new family for giving him the chance he’s been dreaming of.
